WE ARE ONE!!!

Today we mark one solid year of LCN handmade. A year of squeezing in tie-dyeing and making in-between naps, lockdowns & bedtimes.

.

As a full time mum to two under-threes, giving birth during lockdown one and living away from family, LCN handmade was an enjoyable lifeline that gave me the much needed escapism that I needed. It gave me the opportunity to use my skills and I'm not going to lie when I say that some days I would count down the hours until bedtime so that I could get my sewing machine out and start making.

.

Over the last year, we have moved twice (London to Sheffield) and I have dragged my dyes, sewing machine collection and hoards of Ankara fabrics with me, giving them pride of place and priority to keep the show on the road.

.

A new year brings a new studio space and two whole days a week dedicated to developing the brand and making these glorious handmade items.

.

You can look forward to our Autumn / Winter collection launching in October, bringing new fabrics, styles and dyes. A pop up market stall in September, as part of The Nether Edge Festival and a refashioned & reclaimed range of one off garments coming to our depop shop very soon. Giving life to unwanted items through dyeing, cut, patchwork and customizations.

.

We will also be offering a tie-dyeing service, where you can have your natural fabric garments hand-dyed by me.

.

And finally, a big thank you for following my journey, commenting, sharing, liking and buying. It means the world to me and it has kept me afloat during these strange times.

.

Heres to year 2, growing bigger and maintaining our slow fashion sustainable message.

.

Big love,

Lauren
